Good to excellent, spring conditions!

Early this morning, we had two drags out on the trails to knock the drifts down.  Without our heavy towing machine, it was a struggle and more lengthy of a process.   Happy to announce we got the trails back to, Good to excellent, spring conditions.  Hardness of the snow varied much and what we did, will show that.

We had walkers out there this week, doing much damage...
Please tell them that we don't allow walking and ask them to buy a pass!!

On our day off, repair work does go on and on. This is a pod frame on our UTV.

Rustic, but still good skiing.

As you might image, the terrible wind we had yesterday made many drifts and knocked branches out of the trees.   Early this morning while trying to smooth the drifts up, our strongest towing machine broke down.   Without it, we still got some basic tracks made everywhere, exception to that was the west side of mud lake which is trail 4.   The skiing will be good, but the trails are much rougher than we'd like to see and of course, there are sticks everywhere.  We did thrown many off, but we can only get a percent of them.
Sorry for the delay!

We'll try our hardest, to get them back in shape, ASAP.

Excellent and breezy.

The 6" of high density snow we received overnight worked in reasonably well this morning with the roller.  We call everything Excellent but with all this wind today, open areas will be blown in. Trails are fairly soft yet, phat bikers may find it tough going. Monday all trails will be re-groomed in the morning.
Down in the gorge.

With the snow and wind today, this won't last long.

We'll drag and re-track early Monday morning before it warms up.

Excellent Friday!

For your skiing, snowshoeing or phat biking pleasure, all trails were rolled this morning and new tracks made.  They are indeed excellent!  For our phat bikers, this 5" of fresh snow will not firm up enough until we can drag it.

Please support these efforts and purchase a pass.

Yes, it was again so, so pretty out there today!

Overly excellent again!

The light snow we received was drug in today, and all tracks redone.  It was so pretty out there this morning!  For our Phat biking member's, this will firm up very nicely for you.  Trails are as nice as you can find anywhere!  A few photos will say it all.
If you'd like to help, please contact KNSC about coming onto the board!  We are currently short and need to fill empty positions.

No snow forecasted, so no groom!

Sorry about about the lack of grooming today.  When we went to bed last night while NOAA said "trace of precipitation overnight" and we awoke to 2 or 3 inches of trace.   We will be out and drag it in and reset tracks Thursday morning.
As seen in the school yard late this afternoon.

Ongoing excellence

With a light freezing rain coming down, all trails were rolled and new tracks made early this morning.   It's quite nice out there folks.  Please support the trails and purchase a day pass or better yet, a season pass.
Yes, it was that pretty out there this morning.

Most days, this is how we see the trails in the early hours.

Trails like this, if what we work very hard to make.

Like to help in the fun?  Next fall we will be hiring!  Inquire for details.

Extreme excellent again.

The few inch's of snow we received overnight was of high density and worked very well to bring our trails back to extreme excellent.    Of course, all trials were drug and tracks renewed.  Photos will describe them better than my lame verbiage.  It was so, so pretty out there early this morning.

New tracks made, everything excellent.

About 1" of snow fell so Colin went out and made new tracks which look really good.  We'd call them excellent. The wind is blowing, so the tracks will be blowing over, pretty quickly.

Friday breezy cool, but excellent report.

The minimal snow we received overnight was drug in early this morning and all tracks redone.  It's quite breezy out there so tracks might get blows in, at open areas.   I'd call the trails 95% excellent.  It's likely the grooming department will stay off them until Sunday.  Stay tuned!
