We got out for a nice ski this morning, starting at Tomasi TH, heading down the gorge, then to Mud Lake.We found a couple inches of new snow at the trail head and gorge. Mud Lake loop had at least 6"! Depth gradually decreased again at the triangle and heading back to the trail head.
All trails are being re-rolled this afternoon.
Don't let no tracks stop you from enjoying a beautiful ski. The snow characteristics make striding on the packed surface as good as if there were tracks.
If our fundraising campaign is successful, we'll be able to have at least some of the system improved to allow earlier track setting next season. Vote with your checkbook!
Just past the Mud Lake loop, headed to the triangle (Churning Rapids). |
The New River Trail north of Tomasi Rd. This is flowing water melting our snow. This is where the trail curves up away from Swedetown Creek. |
Great day for a ski! |
