Bridge construction update.

The middle bridge in Swedetown gorge is scheduled to be replaced this summer and work on this project has begun.  Today a group of people carried to the site a 42ft long pipe to mimic the bridge being moved down there.

Through the gate at the fairgrounds we go!

Across the sand pit.
The pipe was carried in to see if the hills and corners could be
negotiated by a 42ft long object.

Down Sisu hill we go.

Sisu bridge was indeed a tall bump to get over.

Almost there.

This is the middle bridge.

Today we staked out the new bridges footprint.

The new one being a bit longer will allow skiers a better approach.
Next week we plan to start digging.

At the DPW the new bridge gets inspected.

Ken wonders if we really can trailer these down there.
