Spring trails and equipment updates!

We walked the gorge and city side trails late this afternoon basking in these summer like temps. :-)

Someone was seen strutting down Tomasi road this week.

This is our main roller which just came out of the Hancock HS metals
shop after receiving extensive repairs and updates.
Work like this goes on for many, many hours during the "off" season.

How trail #2, aka the snow fence trail looked today.

We did bridge inspections.

Heading down stream we stopped at this pedestrian bridge.
If we have the time and find the funding, we'll strengthen
this bridge,  make it wider and add a railing to it
making in more appropriate for winter use

The water was much higher earlier this week and
flooded around this bridge in Dam meadow.

The gate in the dam meadow was dug up
and closed to keep atv traffic out.

Next the gate on Sisu hill was shut.

It would be tough sleddin on Sisu hill today.

This needs to be taken down.  Could you help with that?

Skiable in some areas! Keep your bikes in the garage a while longer.

Groomer's dinner.

Many of the groomers in the Hancock/Houghton area gathered for dinner at the Michigan House to reminisce the season and wish Jeff and Ann goodbyes.  Sad to see them go but a good time was still had by all.
